There is one subject upon which this paper is willing to back the judgment of our esteemed contemporary, the Coconino Sun. When the editor of the Sun lays down the Republican doctrine in Arizona it is the simon pure article. In brief, the Sun says Hi Johnson is a low lifer, a bunco artist, a sham and a fraud. If the postal laws did not forbid, the Sun's language would no doubt be stronger. The Sun need have no fear. Hiram Johnson of California will never be president of the United States. His betrayal of Justice Hughes in the presidential campaign of 1912 was an exhibition of his own egotism to the nth power. His absence from the senate on the vote to unseat Newberry of Michigan, presented him in the light of a political coward. Hi Johnson is the best living example of the "peanut politician" in America today.— Graham Guardian.
