Full Text

KINGSTON, (Jamaica) June 27.

The valuable negro slave mentioned in a publication about six months past, to have cut his throat from ear to ear in the goal of this town, from the great dislike he had to his owner, has, we hear, to the great surprise of the faculty, been since perfectly cured, and sold for 120l.—Yet, to the disgrace of his owner's feelings and generosity, no offer of recompence has been made to the Surgeon, who by his great care, attention and skill, performed the miraculous cure, notwithstanding he was at that time labouring under very great distress, and had acted on the occasion from a pure principle of humanity.
