MILITARY NOTICES, &c.

We learn that a communication on militia affairs has been received by his excellency gov. Strong, direct from the President of the United States; and that the council are to assemble this day to take the subject into consideration. We have not learnt the precise nature of this communication; but report says the President intimates that the U. S. troops are to be removed from our garrisons, and that as danger (not imminent) exists, the militia will be wanted to do garrison duty in lieu of the troops. Such is the report. As soon as we have any official notice on this interesting subject it shall be published. Bost. haf.
