Forty-five Juneau students were enrolled and attended the classes of the Citizenship night school during the first month of the winter term that ended December 7.
On November 30, the special school in the Alaska Juneau Mine boarding house ended a two and a half month term during which time 18 students attended the classes conducted by Norman Cock.
Of the 45 attending students during the first month of the regular school, 42 were men and three were women. Eleven nationalities were represented of which the Norwegians were in majority, 25 attending. Other nationalities, and the number of each enrolled, are as follows: Germans 4, Finns 3, Russians 3, American citizens 4, and one each from Servia, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, Serbia and Montenegro.
Twelve nightly two-hour classes were held during the past month and the students entered into the work earnestly. R. H. Raven is in charge of the work assisted by Mrs. Tilden and Miss Abrahamson, teachers. The classes are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, starting at 7:30 o'clock, for a period of two hours.
