WILL INVESTIGATE
INDIAN CLAIMS OF
ABORIGINAL RIGHTS

Here to investigate claims of aboriginal rights. Felix Cohen and Kenneth Simmons arrived last night to confer with the local Indian Affairs office and government officials.

Cohen is Associate Solicitor with the Department of Interior at Washington, D. C., and Simmons is District Counsel with the Indian Service at Billings, Montana.

Before coming to Juneau the two men stopped briefly at Annette Island, Hydaburg and Klawak. They were met at Ketchikan and accompanied here by George W. Folta, Counsel for the Interior Department and D. W. Hagerty, Senior Field Representative with the Indian Service.
