Full Text

Exchanged Paroled Prisoners-On Saturday morning last, 2,500 Yankee prisoners were sent down to Vicksburg under a small guard, where they embarked for Lincolndom, never to take up arms again until exchanged. About the same number left on yesterday morning. There are now only about seven hundred left in our hands at this point. They consist principally of the sick, who will be sent off as soon as they are able to leave. Their absence is a considerable relief to the commissary and quartermaster departments.
