Airport News

The Civil Aeronautics Board has given its approval to Frontier Airlines recently proposed new Youth Fare tariff which will reduce by 50% all air fares for teenagers and all air travelers from 12 to 22. These new discounted round trip fares go into effect on September 1, 1962.

Designed for high school and College students, young military personnel and other young air travelers, these new Youth Fares should appeal to potential passengers who do not normally fly Frontier Airlines system. Youth identification cards will be issued on receipt by the airlines of an application form along with a $5.00 service fee. Card holders will also be able to purchase a ticket for one other airline passenger also under 22 years of age who is traveling the same itinerary and the same flight as the card holder.

Frontier's Vice President of Sales and Service, C. M. Britt, said, "These new half fare Youth Fares will affect all regular round trip, first class air fares throughout Frontier's 11 State system in the Rocky Mountain West and Midwest and may be combined with other airline fares to construct through fares to all sections of the United States."

This special Youth Fares plan like the recently effected group travel developer is another step taken by Frontier Airlines to attract additional air travelers. This group travel developer plan applies when an individual persuades seven or more friends to travel together by air to and from a Frontier served community.

With this tariff the person promoting the idea of air travel to a group receives free round trip transportation to accompany the group.

Flight 32 leaves Sidney at 9:28 a.m. for Williston, Minot and Bismarck.
