Extract of a letter from London, of December 10.

"The account of General Burgoyne's situation, occasioned the minority members, in each House of Parliament, to insult in most ungentlemanlike terms, his Majesty's Ministers, imputing to them only, the miscarriage of the Northern army, before they had seen the instructions to the unfortunate General. Lord George Germain behaved most elegantly, and with consummate fortitude, though many hours baited by Barre, Burke, Fox, &c. &c.

"His Majesty's seems to have an entire confidence in the present Ministry, and so far are they from relaxing, on account of General Burgoyne's ill success, that they seem determined to pursue the American war with still more vigour than ever; to effect which, it is said an amazing reinforcement, will be sent thither very early in the spring.

Pray God prosper our arms, and restore us peace on equitable terms, consistent with the dignity of Great-Britain.

I am, yours &c."
