The Directors of the Mount Vernon Cotton Factory, of this place, at a meeting held last Saturday, determined, as soon as their present stock of cotton shall have been worked up, which will be in about two weeks, to suspend for the present further operations. We hope that it will not be long before the Factory will again be at work successfully. The Company hold a large amount of manufactured goods and do not wish to manufacture more, whilst the price of the raw material is out of all proportion with the price of the manufactured article.
