LIGHTNING KNOCKED OPENING IN ROOF During Electrical Storm Monday Afternoon

During the electrical storm Monday afternoon lightning struck the home of W. J. Cassler, 206 Blicke street, tore a hole in the roof of the house a foot square and caused about $100 worth of damage, fully covered by insurance.

Mrs. Cassler and her sister were in the house at the time and while not injured, were startled, to say the least and may be considered fortunate in having escaped without more serious consequence.

Rain pouring in through the opening in the roof caused most of the damage.
