Domestic barley markets were somewhat unsettled during the week ending August 18, with light offerings meeting only a moderate inquiry from both domestic and foreign trade, according to the weekly barley feed and grain market review of the Bureau of Agriculture Economics.
The Los Angeles barley market held about steady with light offerings from growers in nearby producing areas tending to offset the slow demand from all classes of trade.
Barley testing 46 pounds was quoted at $1.00 to $1.02½.
