Last Thursday arrived the brig Nancy, Capt. Dalzell, in 15 days from Tortola: when he sailed it was confidently reported there, that an expedition was forming against St. Kitts, and that a number of volunteers from Barbados & Antigua were assembled at St. Lucia, to join the forces going upon it, and as there were then four British ships of the line and a number of frigates to windward, it was supposed the transports, with the troops and volunteers, would fall under their protection, and have their assistance in disposing the French of that valuable Island.
