Several outstanding affairs have been scheduled for the benefit of the Monroe County Library Fund according to an announcement made by Mrs. Ida Gellrich, Liaison Committee chairman.

The public is cordially invited to attend any and all of these affairs. Mrs. Gellrich has stated and the proceeds realized will be donated to the fund.

Among the affairs are: a tag day scheduled for April 20 and sponsored by the Junior Woman's Club; spaghetti supper on April 20 at the NCCS on Duval Street, sponsored by the Catholic Daughters; and the Art and Historical Society bridge and square dance slated for April 26 at the East Martello Tower starting at 8 p. m.

The calendar for May includes a Garden party on May 4th at the home of Miss Hilda Cunniff on South Street beginning at 8 p. m. Admission will be a silver offering.

On May 11 there will be a dinner and theatre party at the Barn Theatre. The Room Mothers of the Truman School will sponsor a May Day festival at Bayview Park on May 15 starting at 4:30 p. m.

Concessions will be set up for this party and refreshments will be sold.

A card party and fashion show has been planned by the Woman's Club for May 16 at the Casa Marina Hotel. The show will be 'Fashions by Herman' and something unusual is promised in the way of entertainment.

Other clubs and organizations planning to assist with the drive are urged to contact Mrs. Gellrich and her committee so that dates may be cleared as soon as possible. The goal of the drive is $50,000 and sixty days have been set in which to realize the amount. Paul J. Sher is general drive chairman.

Anyone wishing to make a donation should contact the Drive Chairman, Joe Pinder, treasurer, or any member of the steering or liaison committees, or of the Woman's Club.
