Manager Robert Hays of the El Centro Chamber of Commerce has received a card from Howard P. Meyer, president of the Imperial Valley Hardware company and a director of the chamber, in which he sends greetings to his fellow-directors. The El Centro traveler was visiting in New York and New England and reports a beautiful country and fine roads. Meyer stated that on July 22 he would be finally headed for home.
He sent a fine photograph of the post office at Athol, Massachusetts, and suggested that in the near future El Centro would have a federal building no less imposing.
