MRS. STUCKEY PLAYS IN DELIGHTFUL CONCERT
Visiting Friends in Sanford, Fla.
Where Her Music is Enthusiastically Received

(Sanford Daily Herald).

It is all too seldom that the real music lovers of Sanford have such a treat as they enjoyed last evening in the concert at the club house, especially featuring the most artistic piano playing of Mrs. Henry M. Stuckey a distinguished visitor to our city, who says of herself that she "is not a musician who happens to be a club woman, but a club woman who happens to be a musician."

Mrs. Stuckey was a guest of the State Federation in its recent convention at West Palm Beach, and is chairman of the music in her own South Carolina Federation.

The enthusiastic response of her audience to all her numbers, was almost as much of her own charm of personality in her interesting little explanations of composer and theme, as for the grace and daintiness which characterized her interpretations.

Quick to catch the feeling of her hearers she realized almost immediately their partiality to MacDowell, and was most generous in her response to their applause.

One very interesting number was the original "composition of Miss Wilburn Willette a South Carolina girl who won first prize in the contest put on last year in her state. One of the encores, "Country Gardens" by Percy Grainger was especially delightful, and Cadman's Indian music was given with a comprehension that brought out every delicate shade of its haunting elusive quality.

Mrs. Stuckey will remain in the city for the remainder of the week as the lovely house guest of her relatives, Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Galloway. While in Florida she is to give a concert at Stetson University, and is sure of a most sympathetic audience there where good music is so well known and loved.

It is to be hoped that this club season will have many concerts to its credit in Sanford, but it would be impossible to plan one more delightful than this one.
