PERSONAL.

Geo. Mulland of Bumble Bee, is in the city.

Dave Kelly of the Gila Monster mine, is in the city.

Mr. Moss returned yesterday from an outing in the mountains.

Auditor Leitch and C. F. Ainsworth returned yesterday from California.

A. Redewill has returned to Phoenix from a month's sojourn in Flagstaff.

Moritz Rosenberger returned Sunday morning from a trip to Cripple Creek, Colorado.

Jim Griffin returned yesterday morning from a couple of week's trip to the mountains.

Dr. F. H. Waite, a well known former dentist of Phoenix, is visiting in the city from Prescott.

H. F. Vantilburg, the jeweler, has gone to Chicago and will return about the middle of August.

Geo. Perkins, who has been very ill at his home for the past few days, is now reported convalescing.

L. J. Wood and Frank B. Moss returned Sunday night from a trip over the northern part of the territory.

Mrs. H. W. Ryder accompanied by the Misses Cora, Susie and Mary Knapp left last night for Prescott for an outing.

Selim Michaelson, of the Drachman Cigar company, left last night for an extended trip along the northwestern coast.

S. C. Wyrcoop, who has been confined to the Sisters' hospital, the result of being run down by a horse, was able to be out yesterday for the first time.

Dave Goldberg returned yesterday from a short trip to Wickenberg where he had been inspecting his mining property. He brought back some excellent specimens of ore liberally sprinkled with free gold.

Miss Annie Whitlow arrived in the city yesterday from Prescott, where she has been visiting Mrs. Geo. Stone. She will visit with Mrs. J. A. Marshall, of this city, for a week before returning to her home in Florence.

Robert Goodwin of Tempe, passed through Phoenix last night on horseback bound for Prescott. It is said that the absence of certain feminine charms in the butte city has driven him to seek seclusion in the sylvan shades of the mountains.

P. A. Maher, a former editor of the Prescott Courier but of late years a traveling correspondent for the New Orleans Times-Democrat, is in the city. He is especially engaged in writing up the mining and other resources of Arizona and New Mexico. Mr. Maher wields a trenchant pen and together with his knowledge of the country well adapts him for the work.
