OLD CURRENCY.—We have been presented with some money that looks a little more venerable, though not much more ragged than the late currency of Ohio, the St. Clair, &c., and is equally valuable. One is a note of 20 shillings, dated 1759, and reads: "No 415 Twenty shillings. This indented bill shall pass current for twenty shillings within the government of the counties of New Castle, Kent and Sussex on Delaware, according to an act of Assembly of the said government, made in the 32d year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord, King George II. Dated, the 1st day of June, 1759." On the back is the comfortable inscription, "To counterfeit is death." We have in the same lot other bills dated 1760, 1770 and 1773, for smaller amounts.
