WASHINGTON (ANP) David S. Minor, vice president of the Northwestern University forum, was in the city last week gaining first-hand information on racial conditions in the nation's capital through observation and personal contacts. Minor hopes to gain a wealth of information regarding race relations on the eastern seaboard, which he might use when his radio program resumes next month.
This combined vacation and information tour will carry him to Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Newport News, Fort Wayne, Norfolk, Portsmouth and New York.
Minor, who is a senior law student at Northwestern, is the first Negro to hold a permanent place on the Northwestern forum, which is composed of a moderator and four or five participants some of whom are permanent and others are invited guests. He is also the first Negro to hold an office in this organization.
The radio program is not confined to racial problems in America but discusses any problem relating to national, international or world affairs.
