Atlanta, Ga. - (ANP) — A meeting Thursday of the Ku Klux Klan in Birmingham, Ala., set off a series of similar gatherings throughout Dixie to map plans for Klan participation in the 1952 presidential election. C. H. Klein, executive secretary of the Association of Georgia Klans, said units of the robed brethren will be addressed by Grand Dragon Sam Roper of Atlanta or himself. Schedules have been booked heavily in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana.
The Klan leader said the organization will fight President Truman because of his civil rights stand. He also said the brotherhood could not support Gen. Dwight Eisenhower because he favors the United Nations "which requires U. S. providing all the money and manpower in the fight against Communism."
