Full Text

The letters which are daily received by the city merchants from their correspondents in Germany, are full of complaints against the King of Prussia. It was mentioned in the papers, that this Monarch had by his manoeuvres got the whole British commerce to Poland in his power. A hint was also thrown out that he would not fail to take advantage of it to the detriment of Britain. This he has begun already, and the commerce of this nation has been injured in many material points. The liberties they ought to enjoy at Dantzick by the tenor of several treaties, have been repeatedly trampled upon, and some of them entirely taken away; and by the last letters hints are thrown out that he has proceeded still further, and ordered violations to be committed contrary to even the appearance of common justice or honesty.
