Treated and Fined $50 for Selling a Package of Cigarettes to a 17-Year-Old Youth

The arrest was caused by R. O. Hughes, Des Moines, special agent who announces that jail sentences will be imposed if warnings are not heeded.

When William Smith, dealer, 428 Brady street, Davenport was arrested for selling cigarettes to minors was fined $50.

He complains also that Davenport dealers are lax about the state revenue stamps, and that all cigarettes on display must be marked as provided by law.
