Plattsburg, June 5.

LOSS OF THE GROWLER & EAGLE.

A gentleman who proceeded with a flag to Isle aux Noix, after the action, has just returned, and informs that the Eagle received a pound shot from the enemy, which passed through her bow and knocked off several planks from the opposite side; that she was run aground, that the enemy have since raked and taken her to St. Johns to be repaired.

Our informant also states, that on our side one man only was killed, and five or six wounded--of the enemy none killed or wounded; our force in the above sloops, consisted of eighteen 6's, 2 twelves carronades & 113 men including volunteers.
