Full Text

For the West Jersey Pioneer.

The present period is full of lessons to some persons, who can only become educated and useful citizens by sad experience, and who have been "building castles in the air" for many years, only to be reminded by salutary lessons, that man is doomed to disappointment. With charity for all, and malice toward none, we cheerfully offer our hearty sympathy to all whose hopes were so suddenly blasted only a few days ago; we feel for them as only a true fellow mortal can feel, sharing in their sudden denouement, and sincerely hoping that they may yet find solace in their own manly conduct, submitting, reluctantly, it may be, to the dictates and manipulations of their fellow-men, never once forgetting that "every dog has his day," and it may be their turn to laugh and be merry for "no one knoweth what a day may bring forth."
