Our Advices from Albany are, That since the Skirmish of Major Rogers's mentioned in our last, he has been to a Place called St. Perre (between Nut Island and Montreal) and burnt about 16 or 20 Houses being all in the Village, and brought off 35 Men Prisoners, leaving the Women and Children behind; That he was pursued by between 4 and 500 of the Enemy, who were in half an hour's March of him, when luckily for the Major and his Party, they came across a Number of the Enemy's Battoes which were provided to bring the Officers, who were taken at the Battle of Quebec on the 28th of April last, to Crown Point, who were all discharged upon their Parole of Honour, except Col. Young, who is still with them, and is treated in a very polite Manner, by Mons. Vaudreuil, and all the Officers of the Army. In the above Affair Rogers did not lose a single Man.
