Full Text

Runaway.—The horses attached to a wagon of Mr. Joseph Anderson, standing near the coach factory of Messrs. Stump & Hawks, became frightened on Wednesday last, and dashed down Liberty street until they reached the intersection of Liberty and West, when they whirled around the corner and ran down the latter street until they brought up near the old Presbyterian graveyard. No damage was done beyond the breaking of some of the harness. Not being prepared to pay toll, we suppose they thought proper to stop on this side of the toll-gate. Sensible horses—suggests a friend at our elbow.
