THE Opposition. The continued attempts of the opposition, to divide the Republican party, will prove abortive—the friends of Gen. Jackson, are firmly united together and defy the utmost exertions of their opponents to rend asunder the tie which connects them. Let the people beware of being deceived by political intrigues and all will be safe. The line of demarcation is now drawn—the present administration will be violently assailed by every faction. Of the re-election of Andrew Jackson, there can be no doubt from his well known and long tried faithful services to his country. This is the last desperate struggle of the opposition and they will spare no pains, deception and intrigue to effect their object. It is therefore the duty of all Republicans to rally around our present excellent Chief Magistrate and unite heartily in opposing them and their designs.
