Yale Prize Winner To Read Poems At Spelman College

Miss Margaret Walker, a recent winner of the Yale Series Prize for younger poets, will give a reading from her books of poems "For My People", at Spelman College in Howe Memorial Hall on Monday, October 25, at eight o'clock.

Miss Walker is a graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Iowa. She has been a teacher of English at Livingstone College, and at the present time is on the English faculty of West Virginia State College.

Miss Walker was chosen to read poetry over the radio for the 25th anniversary of Poetry Magazine in Chicago.
