Westminster, June 18.
THIS day, the Lords being met, a message was sent to the honorable House of Commons by Sir Francis Molineaux, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, acquainting them, that the Lords authorized by virtue of his Majesty's commission, for declaring his assent to an act agreed upon by both Houses, to desire the attendance of this honorable House in the House of Peers to hear the commission read; and the Commons being come thither the said commission, impowering his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury, the Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain, the President of Council, and several other Lords therein mentioned, to notify and declare the Royal assent to the said act, was read accordingly. And the Royal assent given to an act for further continuing, for a limited time, an act made in the 23d year of the reign of his present Majesty, intituled, "An act for preventing certain instruments from being required from ships belonging to the United States of America; and to give to his Majesty, for a limited time, certain powers for the better carrying on trade and commerce between the subjects of his Majesty's dominions and the said United States."
