At the February meeting of Samuel Grant Chapter, D. A. R., the following delegates and alternates to the Maine State Conference to be held in Waterville, March 21 and 22, were elected: Delegates, Mrs. F. R. Ames, Mrs. G. D. Libby, Mrs. F. L. Amesbury, Mrs. Nora Grant Rice; alternates, Mrs. J. G. Chaffee, Mrs. W. S. Ames, Miss Helen A. Wood, Mrs. C. F. Johnson. The following delegates to the Continental Congress to be held in Washington in April were elected: Mrs. F. R. Ames, regent; Mrs. J. G. Chaffee, vice regent; Miss Della Collins, Mrs. G. D. Libby, Mrs. A. T. Reynolds, Miss Helen A. Wood, Mrs. F. L. Amesbury, Mrs. Nora Grant Rice, Mrs. W. S. Ames, Mrs. C. F. Johnson, Mrs. G. W. Brown, Mrs. H. E. Larrabee.
