Yesterday the Brig Flora, commanded by Capt. Francis Coddington, arrived here in 21 Days from St. Eustatia. On the 12th Instant, in Lat 37 25 he spoke with a Sloop from Boston bound to Maryland, Benjamin Reynolds, Master, who had been out forty days--On the 13th, Lat. 38; Lon. 71. he spoke with the Schooner Jolly Roger, Capt. Smith, belonging to Boston, bound from Jamaica to Philadelphia, who had been out 33 Days, all well on board.
Capt. Coddington informs us that the Dutch Inhabitants are still very uneasy on Account of the Settlement which the French are effecting near Surinam, and that it was reported the French Settlers amount to near 30,000 Persons.
