Saturday Miss Eleanor Williams, the coach of the Libby High Ski team, and four boys left for Whitefish to compete in the first state ski tournament.
Whitefish won first place, Anaconda was second, Butte came third. Helena, fourth, Libby, fifth, Missoula, sixth, Kalispell, seventh, Deer Lodge, eighth, Great Falls ninth. and Neihart, tenth.
Douglas Smith from Whitefish was first in the down-hill race. Danielson of Anaconda was second. Savage of Neihart, third and Einan of Whitefish was fourth.
Duane Einan of Whitefish was first in the slalom, Danielson of Anaconda, second, and Strong of Anaconda was third.
Danielson of Anaconda was the high individual scorer of the meet.
Elmer Anderson, Jack Raymond, Eugene Buti, and Pat Barret represented Libby.
