ELECT OFFICERS FOR YEAR
Mrs. Mary L. Stearns of Willimantic was re-elected president at the Windham County W. C. T. U. at the annual convention held at the Nazarene church Friday. Mrs. Eva L. Huntington of East Thompson was elected vice-president; Mrs. Ida M. Pegrum of Willimantic, secretary, and Mrs. Mary A. Gallup of Scotland, treasurer.
About 60 attended the convention which was held at Danielson, Conn., and were representative of local unions in the towns of Killingly, Putnam, Thompson, Plainfield, Windham and Scotland.
Special features were the addresses by Rev. C. E. Spalding of New London, whose subject was The Best is Yet to Be, and by Mrs. Lena W. Greenbacker of Hartford, state president, who discussed the progress and the work of the W. C. T. U. among other things.
During the convention Mrs. Esther Brown of Danielson sang two solos, with harp accompaniment.
