Springfield, Ill., Feb. 26.—The Springfield Woman's Club yesterday decided to take an active part in the Springfield municipal campaign. The women have decided that the only way to secure a clean administration of the affairs of the city is for them to exercise their influence over the male members of their families.

After both political parties have made their nominations the women will prepare the ticket they intend to support. It will likely be composed of nominees from all parties.

The women deny that they intend to work along the lines of the Carrie Nation crusaders, but declare they are determined that Springfield shall be governed according to the state and city laws during the coming two years.
