CAPTURED IN MARYLAND—Carrol Polland, who, it is alleged, is a fugitive from the Virginia authorities, was captured at the fair grounds, Timonium, in Baltimore county, Md., by Sheriff Cole on Saturday night. Polland is a young man, who, it is alleged, was convicted of horse stealing at Fairfax Court House, Va., and who escaped from the officer who was conducting him to the Reformatory School, at Laurel, in that state. He acknowledged last night that he is the person wanted, and has consented to go back to Virginia without requisition papers. Polland is seventeen years of age, and was first sentenced to three years' imprisonment in the Virginia penitentiary. On account of his youth, the Virginia Prisoners' Aid Society requested that he be sent to the Reformatory School at Laurel, and his sentence was accordingly changed.
