In the case of Lewis Hayden, in the District Court of the United States, on trial for the rescue of Shadrach, District Attorney Lunt concluded his closing argument on the part of the Government at about 12 o'clock yesterday. Judge Sprague then proceeded in a very clear and able charge to the jury, and at ten minutes before one o'clock, the jury retired with the papers. At two o'clock they had not come in, and the Court was adjourned until quarter before six o'clock P. M.
