THE ELECTION IN MAINE—Probably no choice.—Returns from 70 towns give for Governor:
Whig,
Robinson, 8863
L. F.,
Anderson, 9323
Scattering, 3325

Fairfield's majority in these towns last year, 519,
Anderson's majority this year, 2785.

There are many vacancies in the Legislature but a strong majority of the House will be Loco Foco.

Members of Congress—R. P. Dunlap (Loco) and H. Hamlin (Loco) are elected.

In Clifford's old District, (York) there is no choice; and we fear that in the Kennebec district, Mr. Severance, (Whig) opposed by a renegade Whig as well as Loco Foco, is not elected.—N. Y. Express.
