ABOUT KALALAU.
Editor Bulletin:--As "Curiosity" has had considerable to say about the late investigation trip to Kalalau, Kauai, he is not perhaps aware that Kalalau was held up to the native voters of Hanalei and Kawaihau (who voted the right way), that their friends and relatives who were afflicted would be sent to Kalalau instead of off the island of Kauai, for in this arises the greatest hardship of all in the native mind when they come to leave the island on which they were reared.
When over two years ago it was asked of the Government to give countenance to have Hanapepe Valley, Kauai, as a place of segregation and the offer of putting up quarters for the unfortunates without cost to the Government, it was unheeded.

Main Argument
the writer explains that kalalau was presented to native voters as a local segregation site for afflicted relatives to avoid sending them off kauai, but criticizes the government for ignoring an earlier offer to establish such a site in hanapepe valley at no cost.
