An official "pouring" party was held by Sheriff C. M. Mack last Saturday morning. when about 40 gallons of home brew and moonshine whiskey were emptied in the drain on the west side of the Sheriff's residence and jail building.
At the same time a lot of still equipment was destroyed. The confiscated liquor was contained in about 100 receptacles, ranging from a one-half pint bottle to a gallon jug, all of which were broken and with the destroyed, equipment, hauled to the dump.
And when the last container was emptied, the official referees, W. R. Mosier and James Frame, counted ten and declared old John Barley Corn down and out.
