First Tabernacle Baptist Church

A most enjoyable day was the reward for those who witnessed one of the finest Men's Day Programs on last Sunday, presented by The Brotherhood. Dea. E. Coleman, president and the excellent committee. Pastor E. G. Lane was high in praise for each participant.

The audience was spellbound as the speakers, Mr. L. R. Bolden and Dea. S. E. White spoke from "Man's Role In A Changing Society" and "God's Reason for Making Man."

Both speakers pointed out scriptural references, coinciding with the addresses. They were truly eloquent. Too much cannot be said for the youthful personalities including William Smith Jr.; Ralph Dillard, Frank W. Butler and Gerald Crawford. The Savannah Male Ensemble, under direction of Dea. R. Middleton stole the honors, this group has been recently organized and is one of the most promising. Solos rendered by Messrs P. Johnson, J. Stoney, F. McMoore, J. Snowden, representatives from Goodwill Baptist Church, and all other organizations were marvelous.

Scripture reading by Rev. J. Garrison and Dea. H. Grant, words of welcome; Mr. T. Cooper, Dea. R. Flowers with presentations done by Dea. R. Rickenbacker and Dea. E. Coleman. Every deacon and ward-leader is to be commended.

Mr. H. Scott and Mrs. L. L. Miller also made presentations. Guest pianist, Mr. C. Perkins and Mr. E. R. Ruffer at the organ were excellent in their performance. Mission this Thursday.

Mrs. Rosa Johnson, Mrs. P. Hobbs, Mr. C. Goldwire are added to the sick list.
