Jaycees Like Drive Result

Members of the Junior Chamber of Commerce viewed with considerable satisfaction today results of the annual drive for funds to fight infantile paralysis. With a net fund of $1,282.92 they found themselves several hundred dollars beyond the contributions of a year ago, George Seedorff was chairman of the committee which conducted the drive and other members were Donald Porter and Townsend Clark.

Total collections were $1,365.31 and expenses totaled $82.39. Gross collections were $288.09 from the President's Benefit Ball; $250.27 from schools; $42.59 from churches; $207.80 from coin boxes; $194.43 from factories; $142.05 from clubs; $200 from the Community Fund and $40.08 from miscellaneous sources.

Among the contributing organizations are Newton Hunting Club, $50; American Legion, $50; Rotary, $18.72; Kiwanis, $12.44 and Junior Chamber of Commerce, $10.59.

The largest individual contribution was that of H. E. Van de Walker who gave $25.

Members of the Junior Chamber of Commerce Auxiliary conducted the ticket sale for the dance.
