Martine Convicted at Second Trial

The jury in the case of the state vs. Vipcenso Martine was out but ten minutes about noon today when they returned with a verdict of "guilty,"

Martine was charged with having brought liquor into the state with the container improperly labelled. He was represented by Attorneys Abbattichio and Amos.

Upon hearing the verdict Squire R. Leigh Fleming fined the defendant $100 and sentenced him to serve three months in jail. Martine took an appeal.

This is the second trial of Martine, he having been tried in the same court previously before a jury which hung.

The jury in today's case was composed of H. T. Huddleson, C. M. Haller, J. T. Crowell, O. J. Morgan, G. H. Davidson and M. C. Toothman.
