Richmond, June 13.—Social security taxation and extensions in the auditing procedures of certified public accountants are among the subjects scheduled for discussion at the Middle Atlantic States Accounting Conference to be held at the John Marshall Hotel here on June 16 and 17 next. Several hundred certified public accountants and their guests are expected to attend the sessions. The conference is being held jointly by the societies of certified public accountants of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, North and South Carolina and the District of Columbia, with the cooperation of the American Institute of Accountants. The theme of the meeting will be "accounting in the Public Interest."
