Ministers often have their problems, although they're usually so embroiled with problems of others that they seldom have any time to air their own woes.
One Rockville minister, brought one of his - admittedly one of the lesser ones but important to those involved - to the attention of his congregation.
The occasion was Youth Sunday in the church. In addition to having a number of young people join in leading the service, the minister decided to slant his sermon especially for them.
He prefaced his talk by saying that a number of the young people had been having trouble keeping up with his sermon ideas, particularly some of those where his vocabulary outdistanced theirs.
"Sometimes we just don't understand what you're saying," one of the young people told him.
So on Youth Sunday he tried hard to put his ideas across in a manner to appeal to each member of the congregation, young and old.
His reward came after the service, as he was greeting members of the congregation.
One of the young people, a boy, walked up, grasped his hand and said:
"That was a wonderful sermon, but there were parts of it I didn't understand."
