Of the Monongah Division of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad System.
The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Company has selected and already appointed Mr. W. C. Barrett, of Wheeling, to succeed Mr. O. Rickert as Monongah division engineer, with headquarters at Grafton.
Mr. Rickert, who resigned to accept a position with the Missouri Pacific, and whose headquarters will be at St. Louis, will leave Wednesday of this week to assume his new duties, but will not move his family to St. Louis until later. Mr. Barrett, who succeeds Mr. Rickert, is well and favorably known in Grafton.
He was located there as assistant division engineer under Mr. Peter Swenson, who went from there to a point in Wisconsin. Mr. Barrett being later transferred to the Wheeling division as Wheeling division engineer.
Mr. Barrett will move his family back to Grafton, and the people of that city will no doubt extend them a cordial welcome back. As division engineer of the Monongah division, Mr. Barrett is given a deserved promotion with a substantial increase of salary. He is an experienced railroad man and well able to take charge of the onerous duties relinquished by Mr. Rickert.
