The Lexington (Ky.) Herald prints the following, which is of interest to many Hamptonians:
"The Kentucky Society of Sons of the Revolution are rejoicing that their beloved chaplain has been again honored by being made prominent on the program of the triennial meeting of the national society. The following letter is self-explanatory
"Rev. Dean Baker P. Lee, D. D., Christ Church Cathedral, Lexington, Kentucky.
"My Dear Sir--The United States Naval Academy at Annapolis have tendered the General Society Sons of the Revolution an exhibition drill, to be held at the grounds of the academy on the evening of Wednesday, April 19, 1905.
In consideration of this courtesy the General Society propose to present the midshipmen with an appropriate gift in the shape of a silver piece, and it is earnestly hoped by those having the matter in charge that you will consent to make the presentation of this piece of silver.
"Very faithfully yours,
"J. M. MONTGOMERY,
"General Secretary."
The delegates of the Sons of the Revolution will be the guests of Governor and Mrs. Warfield while at Annapolis. As stated heretofore their triennial meeting will be held in Washington, D. C., April 18 and 19.
Governor Carroll, the president general, will preside at all the meetings. President Roosevelt, judges of the Supreme Court, governors and bishops will be among the prominent members present. The first day President Roosevelt will receive the delegates at the White House. The next day a special train will convey the delegates to Annapolis. The day following they will take a steamer to Mt. Vernon accompanied by the United States Marine Band. In the banquet room of Washington's old home will be held a solemn service, followed by an election of officers. A banquet will begin at night at the New Willard hotel, Washington, D. C. Besides Dean Lee, who is a special delegate from the Kentucky Society, there will attend as delegates John T. Shelby, Desha Breckinridge, Wilbur R. Smith, W. W. Estill and Samuel Wilson.
"Dean Lee will accept the proffered honor."
Dean Lee will arrive in Hampton Monday night and will spend a short time with his mother. It is expected that Mr. Arthur Lee will accompany Dean Lee from Hampton to Washington.
