MORNING STAR

The following note accompanied the five dollars for the Foreign Mission Society. from br. Mark Wood, the receipt of which was acknowledged in our last.

Messrs Editors: Enclosed is five dollars which I wish to have transmitted to the F. Mission fund. Having thought upon the subject and how much I ought to bestow, the thought occurred to my mind that my family consists in all of 5 souls, and one dollar for each can be spared to help spread the good news of salvation to the heathen. Believing that the above sum may be easily saved for every member of a family in unnecessary expenses yearly, or earned by a little industry, I have hit upon it as the present amount of my contribution for this object. believing that the earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof.

Respectfully Yours

Mark Wood.
