The board of supervisors adjourned yesterday afternoon after a busy session of about a day and a half, to meet again on May 1st.
Besides considering many petitions and acting upon the same, the board granted land leases to the following persons: Arch Shaw of Dos Cabezas, F. Torrence of Willcox, E J Hand of Paradise, D Grant Duncan of San Simon, B. K. Riggs and Mrs. Mary Dumm both of Dos Cabezas, J C Page H. H Page, P P Page, T R Pearson and John D Hamburg all of Willcox.
Constable Denny E Twomey of Bisbee was granted a leave of absence by the board for a period of thirty days.
The board also approved the proceedings of the board of school trustees of the Hereford school district, and the same were given authority to issue school bonds in the sum of $1500 for the purpose of purchasing land, erecting a school house and furnishing it. Three bonds will be issued of a denomination of $500 each.
The election recently held in the Lamb school district, No 51, was also approved by the board, the same having been for the purpose of bonding the district in the amount of $350 the same to be used for the purpose of maintaining the school and making necessary repairs upon the school building.
