Baptist Fellowship Council Holds Meet; Sermon By Brown

The Atlanta Baptist Fellowship Council, Rev. A. L. Humphrey, president, held its weekly session on Tuesday afternoon at Community Baptist Church.

The order of the day was a sermon delivered by Rev. J. Brown on "Wait On God." Rev A. L Battle was associated with Rev. Brown. The Sunday School classes were taught by Rev. H. A. Stephens; Messrs. A. J. Allison, Leon L. Lewis, and P. T. Redd. The inspirational addresses were delivered by Leon L. Lewis of Los Angeles, California, who is associated with the Negro press; Mrs. C. Williams, of St Peter AME Church Mr. A. J Allison and Mr. P. T. Redd. All addresses were good.

Pres. Humphrey reviewed the Sunday School lesson. Rev. E. J. Humphrey led the story hour. Collection, $4.00. Enrollment has jumped to 163.

Tabernacle Baptist Church, Rev. Freeman, pastor, is marking its 73rd anniversary. President Humphrey will preach tonight representing the Council on the program. Members of the Council have been urged by President Humphrey to support the Community Chest Drive Sunday.

The annual family reunion of the Kelly Thompson family, Mansfield, Ga., will be held soon. Rev. L. O. Kelly, treasurer, will attend the reunion.

Dr. B. Joseph Johnson, pastor, Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church will preach at high noon next Tuesday to the Council. An invitation is extended to hear this able preacher.

Home of Mrs. Ella Lee, 52 Booker Street, N. W., from 4 to 7 o'clock. Friends are invited.
