[By Associated Press]
PITTSBURGH, Jan. 20. -Excitement in the Snake Hollow gas field near McKeesport was at fever heat today when it became known that another "poor man's" well had come in with an estimated flow of four million cubic feet a day and gas had been found in the Big Injun sand at 950 feet.
The well is located outside the district where intensive drilling has been in progress and according to some authorities means an extension to the field.
The Dravo well which was called a duster in the Speechley sand last week was drilled to the Bradford sand, 3,050 feet, and came in today with a flow of 800,000 cubic feet.
Another cause for excitement was the strong flow of salt water struck in Dutcher No. 2, the flow at times going over the top of the derrick. This, experts in the field declare, is an indication of the presence of oil.
