Full Text
Human nature is a peculiar thing. Last spring when there was a general demand for building lots by persons who desired to erect dwellings, and in some cases business structures, none could be bought. Now that a dozen such persons have left the city for other places quite a few lots are offered and some of them well worth the money asked. The view that more houses mean lower rents is a decidedly contracted and short sighted one. Vinita wants all the buildings and all the people she can get. Oklahoma City has been standing in her own light in the matter of excessive rents and the same is true of Muskogee, as the papers of both of these towns indicate. Let us see to it that Vinita does not get into the same class.
